It happens, doesn't it - you decide to treat yourself to a massage and then some important life problem crops up to get in the way of your plans.

We realise that this happens and so if you need to cancel or change your appointment, that's no problem. All we ask is that you give us a minimum of 24 hours notice so that we can offer your appointment slot to someone else.

If you need to cancel at very short notice within 24 hours, do not turn up for your appointment or are not in for a mobile appointment and we are unable to book in another client, unfortunately we'll need to charge the full price of the treatment as we will have incurred out-of-pocket expenses relating to your appointment by this time. An invoice will be sent to you for this.  None of this is done lightly, but we please ask you to consider the impact of last minute cancellations on a small business and how significantly our income can be affected by cancelled appointments.

If an appointment is re-arranged more than twice we will ask for payment in advance for the next appointment.

Now we know that sometimes there'll be exceptional circumstances and we will be very sympathetic to these - all we ask is that you get in contact with us as soon as possible so we can discuss re-arranging your appointment. Thanks!

On the whole, massage is a generally safe and effective treatment. However there are occasions when massage may not be suitable or when it is advisable to get medical approval before going ahead with the treatment. We tend to talk about three different types of contraindications - total contraindications where massage isn't suitable, local contraindications where your therapist will avoid the areas affected and medical contraindications where massage may be suitable with medical approval. Please do let us know of any health issues - even if they don't seem that important - when you book your appointment. That way, we can advise you appropriately at an early stage rather than possibly disappointing you at your appointment.

We may know a lot about massage but we aren't medical professionals! So it would be entirely unethical and inappropriate of us to attempt to diagnose any condition that you may have. If you are at all concerned about your health or any condition you are experiencing, then we urge you to speak to your GP or other appropriate health care professional.
