It happens, doesn't it - you decide to treat yourself to a massage and then some important life problem crops up to get in the way of your plans.

We realise that this happens and so if you need to cancel or change your appointment, that's no problem. All we ask is that you give us 24 hours notice so that we can offer your appointment slot to someone else.

If you need to cancel at very short notice within 24 hours, do not turn up for your appointment or are not in for a mobile appointment and we are unable to book in another client, unfortunately we'll need to charge the full price of the treatment as we will have incurred out-of-pocket expenses relating to your appointment by this time. An invoice will be sent to you for this.  None of this is done lightly, but we please ask you to consider the impact of last minute cancellations on a small business.

If an appointment is re-arranged more than twice we will ask for payment in advance for the next appointment.

Now we know that sometimes there'll be exceptional circumstances and we will be very sympathetic to these - all we ask is that you get in contact with us as soon as possible so we can re-arrange your appointment. Thanks!

Please be reassured that no cancellation fee will be charged if you need to cancel your appointment because you have tested positive for coronavirus/covid-19, are displaying symptoms of covid-19, have been instructed to self-isolate or have knowingly come into contact with someone who has at the time of your appointment. All we ask is that you contact me as soon as possible to let us know.

On the whole, massage is a generally safe and effective treatment. However there are occasions when massage may not be suitable or when it is advisable to get medical approval before going ahead with the treatment. We tend to talk about three different types of contraindications - total contraindications where massage isn't suitable, local contraindications where your therapist will avoid the areas affected and medical contraindications where massage may be suitable with medical approval. Please do let us know of any health issues - even if they don't seem that important - when you book your appointment. That way, we can advise you appropriately at an early stage rather than possibly disappointing you at your appointment.

We may know a lot about massage but we aren't medical professionals! So it would be entirely unethical and inappropriate of us to attempt to diagnose any condition that you may have. If you are at all concerned about your health or any condition you are experiencing, then we urge you to speak to your GP or other appropriate health care professional.

We're delighted that you have received a gift voucher and feel certain you'll enjoy your treatment! There are a few things to be aware of:

  • We can get busy and so it is best to allow a couple of weeks notice for booking an appointment to use your voucher.
  • We'll need your voucher reference number when you make your booking so that we can make a record that you've redeemed your voucher.
  • Unfortunately the gift vouchers can't be exchanged for cash and are non-refundable.
  • The expiry date is shown on the information leaflet accompanying the voucher and the vouchers are valid up until and including this date. Unless otherwise stated gift vouchers are valid for 6 months after the date of purchase.
